The single most valuable kitchen resource, recovery drink, ultrarunning fuel and pure deliciousness is bone broth. It is one of my secret weapons when running, I make my own broth and carry a bottle with me during races. With Whole30 I am roasting chickens (or getting a rotisserie chicken) using the meat and then repurposing the carcass for broth which then gets added to greens, turnips, rutabaga, squash, just about anything that I can add broth to! It is the drink I look forward to the most when I am running and I know I’ve done it right when it ends up gelatinous, full of collagen and ready to aid in my quick recovery!
