One of the best ways for me to cope with stress and a hard week is to run away. Now, I don’t mean that I run away from the problem, what I mean is that I go out and run, spend some time in my head, in the mountains and my problems seem to solve themselves. I usually do my best thinking while I am running. This weekend is the perfect opportunity for me to unwind from the week and get some great training in. With the classic VHTRC MLK Weekend Training Runs becoming a Watkins family tradition, nothing gets me more excited to go to bed early on a Friday than waking up early on a Saturday to drive out and run in the woods with friends! Conversation with Beth sums it up pretty nicely and yes, I am going to run away to the mountains! Looks for posts about traveling and staying as a guest while one Whole 30 as well as fueling for 50+miles of trails on a squeaky clean Whole30 when I return!
